Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister to the Ministry of Environment, Sri Lanka was appointed as the Vice Chair of the Ministerial segment of the fourth Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific held on 5-7 October 2021.

The Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Environment Programme jointly organized the fourth Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific from 5-7 October 2021, in Suwon City, Republic of Korea. This forum comprised of a senior official’s segment on 6 October and a Ministerial segment on 7 October.

The Forum focused on the theme of the fifth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly ‘Strengthening Actions for Nature to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals’.

The Forum was attended by more than 340 delegates, representing 32 Member States, as well as intergovernmental and international organizations, MGOS, and UN entities.
