A short course on plastic waste management techniques and related entrepreneurship was conducted by Waste Management Authority -Western Province in collaboration with Ministry of Environment targeting recyclable waste collectors and preprocessors AT “Mihisaru Field Research and Training Center”. There were around 30 participants which were selected from the Haritha Balakaya of Waste Management Authority (WP) attended for the program.
This was a 04 days training conducted on 2nd, 3rd, 17th and 18th March 2023 which covered the modules of Plastic waste identification, Recycling technology, Financial and business development and Hands on field practice on recyclable waste industry.
This course was conducted with the financial assistance of “Capacity Building on Environmentally Sound Management of Single-use Plastic and its Waste in Asia-pacific Countries” (Norad 02) project. The certificates were awarded to the participants on 18TH March 2023.
