Accordingly, on 1^st of June, Climate Change Secretariat of the Ministry of Environment organized a shramadana champaign under the initiative of the secretary of Ministry to remove Japan Jabara from the canal around the Ministry of Environment and to clean the environment around the Ministry. A large number of officers of the Ministry participated in this event and the participation and contribution of the employees of the Central Environment Authority, Cleanco Lanka Ltd, Haritha Udaya Trust, Sri Lanka Land development corporation made this event successful.
